BTS 10th anniversary event
Prime Minister Han Duck-soo has issued a directive for comprehensive safety measures in anticipation of the massive crowds expected to gather for a weekend event celebrating the 10th anniversary of global sensation BTS.
The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday night at a park near Seoul’s Yeouido, by the Han River, and is projected to attract approximately 300,000 dedicated fans from the worldwide fanbase known as “ARMY.” This event forms a part of BTS’ 10th Anniversary Festa, a two-week-long festival commemorating the remarkable decade-long journey of the band.
Emphasizing the importance of averting potential crowd accidents, Han stated in a press release, “A significant number of individuals will converge simultaneously, and the event will also feature fireworks.” Consequently, he urged the implementation of necessary measures to mitigate risks.
In preparation for the BTS anniversary event, the police will deploy approximately 630 personnel. Moreover, Han instructed the relevant authorities to conduct inspections of the event venues, as well as public transportation, as it is anticipated that most participants will utilize buses and subways for their return journeys.
Under the theme “BTS presents everywhere,” BTS’ 10th Anniversary Festa will be jointly hosted by the Seoul metropolitan government until June 25, encompassing various locations within the capital city.
